Role at Allyis

I started at Allyis as a special projects developer working on a variety of projects. Currently, my primary focus is as SharePoint developer. I’ve worked on everything from the enterprise level, multi-national partner portals to corporate intranets, and all of these projects have been great opportunities to get exposure to a myriad of technologies, tools, and business challenges.

Experience & Approach

I graduated from the University of Washington in 2001 with a degree in Technical Writing, focusing on Web design and application development. Since coming to Allyis, I’ve focused on SharePoint development and have a Microsoft certification in SharePoint configuration. I always work to familiarize myself with as many technologies as possible, because the field is always evolving and you never know what the next project will require.

A Favorite Project

The redesign of our corporate intranet My Allyis on SharePoint was a favorite project. My Allyis gave us the opportunity to develop and install our own custom C# Web part solutions, which isn’t an option on any Microsoft-hosted SharePoint sites I’ve worked on. The project perfectly tied together my recent and past experiences with application and SharePoint development.

Fun Fact About Me

Growing up, I spent many years playing the trumpet and then moved to the guitar as soon as I could get my hands on one. I also enjoy creating character illustrations and have set a personal goal to one day finish a novel to feature them in.
