Position Overview:
We are seeking a UNIX/Linux Web Administrator to assist our client, a leading provider of leisure travel services. Join this corporate team to help support the systems running in the Unix environment. Join a team of Unix Administrators to keep the plaform functioning smoothly. 24x7 on-call and remote support experience are preferable as this position will require an on call rotation Excellent communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills are necessary for this team.
Required Skills:
Minimum 7 years of experience as a Unix (Linux or AIX) administrator
Minimum 3 years of experience with AIX 5.3 on IBM pSeries
Experience with HMC, micro-partitioning, and NIM
Experience in a Sarbanes Oxley compliant enterprise
Experience with systems performance tuning for Oracle database servers
Unix shell scripting experience
Experience with configuration management tools and processes
Good understanding of SSH, NFS, and TCP/IP
Experience with IBM WebSphere, Jboss, BMC Control-M, nagios, and VMware ESX
Experience with remote support, including Lights Out Management
