Position Overview:

Allyis seeks a bright and experienced Content Project Manager with good project management skills to support and educate on existing processes, as well as to provide guidance on improvements where possible. The Content Project Manager is responsible for vendor team ramp-up on existing processes, and continued process excellence. Daily responsibilities include providing oversight on the team’s overall processes, supporting the new vendor ramp-up and performance, site and content management, metrics reporting and analysis, customer care, participation in regular meetings with the vendor publishing team, and ensuring that all work is completed within established timelines. Candidates should be extremely organized, motivated individuals with strong attention to detail and great communication skills, able to deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment. Initiative, self motivation, detail oriented, and a sense of urgency are critical requirements for this role.

Responsibilities:

Vendor Team Ramp-Up on Existing Processes

    Provide oversight on the team’s overall processes, to support the new vendor team’s ramp up and performance – with the objective of maintaining and, ideally, improving existing performance levels. Particular areas of focus include:
    Site and Content Management
    Site Solutions Management
    Content Publishing
    Quality Control
    Metrics Reporting and Analysis
    Customer Care
    Initially, this will entail the vendor getting up to speed on team’s current processes and overall workflow – including some planned process changes
    Act as a training and general information resource for the new vendor team by providing guidance on overall workflow and publishing rhythm. This person will also provide logistical support
    Provide thorough review of content posted on internal and external sites, to ensure:
    Content is appropriately secured and posted in the correction site location(s)
    All hyperlinks are accurate and functional
    Messaging and formatting are consistent and in accordance with existing standards
    Without fail, work is completed within team’s standard publishing timelines
    Review external newsletters before they are sent out
    Metrics Reporting and Analysis: Provide review of metrics gathering process to ensure information is accurately collected and reported
    Customer Care: Work to ensure all customer support issues are quickly addresses and resolved
    Participate in regular meetings with the vendor publishing team
    Ensure all tasks in work queue contain the appropriate archival documentation and that the hand off of work is taking place as prescribed by documented workflow
    As needed, manage handoffs to site solutions managers and other team members to ensure resources and communications are published efficiently and accurately

    Process Excellence

    Update workflow documentation
    Gather and analyze data to establish content delivery best practices and areas of improvement
    Develop, obtain team buy-in, and then implement ways to streamline existing content delivery processes to eliminate repeated hand-offs of work and drive for greater efficiency
    Drive the resolution of problems, inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or escalations related to sites, content, or processes, with guidance as needed from the lead manager
    Work with the FTE team to ensure sites and processes fully support ongoing objectives
    Update the team workflow and SharePoint documentation
    Provide logistical support for small projects that may arise

Required Skills:

    3+ years experience as an editor/content coordinator in either print or Web publishing
    3+ years demonstrated experience in web project management
    2+ years experience working with Web-based portals in an editorial or management capacity
    2+ years writing and editing content for marketing campaigns, preferably for a Web audience
    Ability to work in a cross-functional team and coordinate with business (marketing and editorial) and IT (development and production)
    Familiarity with Web publishing cycles, including production, QA and workflow within cross-functional teams
    Proven skills in relationship development and issue resolution
    Ability to balance multiple demands, address shifting priorities, and maintain focus
    Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
    Good detail, organization, and time management skills
    Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    Strong in MS Office applications, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Project
    Experience with Content Management Systems is preferred, but not required
