Ken Efta | Principal Consultant & Solutions Architect

“It’s very rewarding to work with so many smart people who are passionate about what they do.”

Role at Allyis

I’m a principal consultant at Allyis, and have the great fortune of being involved in high-level business consulting and strategic planning for clients, as well helping to design technical strategy and implementation of solutions.

Experience & Approach

I have a background in English Literature and Language, so my formal education has been in writing and the ways people communicate. Given that people are at the center of any solutions architecture—their needs, intentions, and the way they work with information—I’ve been able to weave this awareness of user-centric communications and discourse into the technical solutions our team designs. This helps make users of our solutions as effective as possible.

A Favorite Project

Given my educational background, I really like projects that focus on Web Content Management. The Web has created tremendous change in the past 20 years, and content management platforms have been the “printing presses” of the Web communications revolution. As such, Web Content Management systems represent a very interesting confluence of technologies and technical considerations: content syndication; application integration; content standards and accessibility; mobile presentations and platforms; integration with social and consumer-based platforms; security and privacy; search technologies. All of these make Web Content Management projects especially engaging and challenging for me.

Fun Fact About Me

I’m an Adult Fan of Legos. I spent my childhood trying to build stuff like the models on this site (Neo Classic Space), and never gave it up. As my kids get older, I’m doing more and more building with them, and look forward to the day we can dive into some starter Lego Mindstorms NXT projects.
